CES 2011: Corsair Press Event

Our friends at Corsair were nice enough to invite us to their pres event at the V Bar at the Venetian Hotel. Corsair we all know for memory and that is how the company started, but over the past year they really have made a push into other markets instead of just memory. We have seen products like the 800D Case and the HS1 Headset. Well they have even more products planned for 2011. Corsair wants to be the top brand in 2011 and as they said in their press conference, “We want you to buy your processor and motherboard and buy everything else from us”.

Starting off their lineup for 2011 is their Vengeance memory which is compatible with the new Sandy Bridge Core i5 and i7 processors and chipsets. We actually reviewed the Vengeance memory back in December so be sure to check that out!

Another exciting announcement from Corsair is the new Performance 3 Series solid state drives. These new drives are based off the Marvell 9174 controller and feature read speeds of 480MB/s and write speeds of 320MB/s.

One of my favorite cases of all time was the Corsair Obsidian 800D case. Well by popular demand Corsair has made a mid tower version the 650D. Expect the same quality and features you saw in the 800D, just in a smaller case. This case will be available in March for $199.99.
