Colorful Announces GeForce RTX 4090 iGame LAB Limited Edition

Colorful, a Chinese manufacturer, has announced a new, limited edition RTX 4090 LAB graphics card designed specifically for overclocking. The Colorful RTX 4090 iGame LAB is a high-end model that will only have 300 units produced. It’s worth noting that the product has a similar appearance to the white iGame Vulcan GPU, but the LAB is a special edition created by Colorful’s in-house overclocking team. As such, it should be considered a premium version of the standard RTX 4090.

Colorful’s new graphics card, the RTX 4090 iGame LAB, is built around NVIDIA’s top-of-the-line desktop model, the RTX 4090 with AD102 GPU and 24GB GDDR6X memory. According to Colorful, this card can be overclocked up to a power limit of 515W, which is not the highest limit available, but still quite impressive.

Since the RTX 4090 iGame KUDAN is not currently available, the iGame LAB is expected to make its mark on the overclocking scene. It will be competing against other high-end GPUs such as the GALAX HOF series. The iGame LAB is equipped with only one 16-pin power connector, which means that even if an XOC (eXtreme OC BIOS) was available, which is often the case with overclocking cards, the power limit would not exceed 600W.

A quick glance at the official specifications shows that the iGame LAB has the same power limit and clock speed (2625 MHz boost) as the iGame Vulcan White, with the only notable difference being the binning process. According to the product description, the GPUs selected for the LAB series underwent rigorous testing and were specially chosen by the iGame Laboratory team.
