Cooler Master MasterAir MA624 Stealth CPU Cooler Review

Installation

We will be doing our installation on an Intel Z490 system so this installation would be pretty much the same for Intel LGA 1200, 1150, 1151, and 1155 sockets.

The first thing you are going to want to do is take the the included backplate and place the locking bolts through it as shown in the manual. For Intel these bolts will go through the side that says “Intel” on it. Then use the plastic locking piece to hold the bolts in place. When you are done your backplate should look like the second photo below.

Carefully place the backplate on the backside of your motherboard threading the bolts through the holes on your motherboard. Then go ahead and screw in the larger bolts to the locking bolts on the front side of your motherboard. It should look like what you see below.

Now install the Intel mounting bars, these will be the ones that are straight. For proper alignment of the cooler make sure these are installed like you see below.

Install the included thermal paste, then carefully place the cooler on top of your CPU lining up the screws on the cooler with the holes in the mounting bars. Using the included screwdriver secure the cooler. It is easier to mount the cooler without the front fan installed. Now you can use the larger front fan, but it will stick up above the cooler a little bit, even with normal-sized memory installed. Finally use the supplied Y-connector to connect your fans. Overall though, for such a large cooler the installation couldn’t be easier.
