Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh V2 Case Review

Final Thoughts

As I said at the beginning of this review it has been hard for companies to really put out a solid, feature-packed mid tower case for around $100 bucks. Well with the MasterBox TD500 Mesh V2 it looks like Cooler Master has been able to achieve that! Right now it is selling at our favorite online retailer for $109.99 and there is a whole lot to like about this case, but it also does have a few shortcomings.

The TD500 Mesh V2 does quite a lot of things right. It is a mid-tower, but does have room inside for E-ATX motherboards as well as long graphics cards, tall CPU coolers, and plenty of watercooling. With all of this room installation is quite easy and we did not run into any issues. I also have to applaud Cooler Master for pre-wiring the three included ARGB fans. Wiring up there ARGB fans for a first time builder can be a bit tedious and it is nice that Cooler Master has done the work for you and included a hub / ARGB controller. The controller is connected to a button on the top of the case so you can easily switch ARGB modes / colors. You can also pass through the ARGB to your motherboard for software control if you like. I also like the tool-less design of the tempered glass side panel.

While there is a lot to like about this case there were a few things that definitely need to be mentioned. I felt the three front fans were a bit loud compared to other cases that we’ve reviewed lately. It would have also been nice to cap off the opening in the front of the case on the power supply cover. If you are hiding wires in the bottom compartment they are definitely visible through this opening.

But then again at the end of the day for a case that is only $109.99 you really can’t complain. Remember you are getting a very solid case with three included ARGB fans plus a fan hub / controller for this price. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh V2 Case a 9 out of 10 score and our Good Value Award!
