Below is the first picture of Corsair’s second 1200 watt power supply, the HX1200i. This unit will sit above the HX1050 and below the already released AX1200i. This unit is said to feature an 80PLUS Platinum rating, a load-based fan which will stay off during idle, and fully modular cabling.
The “i” at the end of the name lets us know that this will be a smart power supply so you will be able to connect it to your PC via Corsair’s Link technology and you will be able to monitor efficiency, load, temperature, fan speeds and more. We covered this technology in our review of the Corsair HX750i a while back. No word on when Corsair will launch this power supply, maybe at CES 2015 in January?
