Creative Sound Blaster Play! 4 USB DAC Overview
The Sound Blaster Play! 4 USB DAC is an incredibly small and simple device. It has official dimensions of 138 x 16 x 8.2 mm which means it can easily fit in your pocket or in a laptop sleeve / backpack.
The main unit has two main buttons on it as well as two activity LEDs. First you have a microphone mute button, when the mic is muted the LED will be red. The next button is the control button which allows you to switch between different EQ modes. The LED will be white if you have dynamic EQ enabled, it will be blue if you have bass boost EQ enabled, and the LED will be off if you have no EQ enabled.
At the end of the unit is a 3.5mm jack for your headset. This means that your headset or headphones need to use a multi-jack, not separate connections for headphones and microphone.
On the opposite end is the USB-C connection. Remember if you want to use a normal USB connection Creative does include an adapter. The USB-C connection allows the Play! 4 to be used with PC, Mac, PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch, Android Phones, and iPads / Tablets.
