Lexar NQ100 480GB Solid State Drive Review

While we’ve been raving about the new Gen4 NVMe solid state drives over the past few weeks lets face it, not everyone wants to spend that much on storage or even has a system that will support those new drives. Many people still use 2.5-inch SATA-based solid state drives and they sure as hell have a big advantage over traditional solid state drives, not only in terms of speed but also when it comes to power consumption and noise. Today we are checking out the Lexar NQ100, which makes use of their own DM928 controller and Micron 3D TLC NAND. The drive offers speeds of up to 550 MB/s read and is available in 240, 480, and 960GB capacities. Let’s take a look!

Special thanks to Lexar for providing us with the NQ100 480GB Solid State Drive to review.
