When you first install the Sound Blaster Control software, you’ll be asked to either set up or log into your Super XFI online account. Once you have signed into or set up your Super XFI account, you’ll have the option to install the SXFI app via a QR code. The SXFI app allows you to have your head and ears mapped to create a custom SXFI profile. Once your head has been mapped, your information will be stored online for each time your head is mapped. If you’ve had your head mapped more than once, you can switch between profiles in the app.

The first section in the Sound Blaster Control software is the equalizer. The Sound Blaster Control software has five presets for the equalizer. These presets are Classical, Flat, Pop, Game, and Cinema. In addition, you can click and drag any point on the graph, at one of the lines that you chose and drag it up or down. You can also draw a line horizontally in any way you chose and the equalizer will set each point to where you drew the line.

The next menu on the Sound Blaster Control software is the Lighting section. In this menu, you can disable the lighting if you chose. You can also disable the lighting on the left side of the SXFI Gamer headset. In this section, you can also set a static color. If you decide, you can use the lighting button on the side of the SXFI Gamer headset to swap between your personal setting in the Sound Blaster Control software, the color cycle option, or just disable the lighting.

This allows you to control the volume of the SXFI Gamer headset, as well as the Commander MIC.

The final section in the Sound Blaster Control software is the settings menu. Here, you can select the language of the software, as well as the theme. Across the bottom of the Sound Blaster Control software, there is a volume control slider. At the bottom left, there is a Sup[er XFI logo. When clicked on, you are given three options. These options are to enable Super XI, disable Super XFI and enable Battle Mode. Super XFI is more designed for movies or TV programs. However, Battle Mode is designed specifically for gaming. Battle Mode allows you to not only hear your enemies footsteps, but also the direction in which they are coming from. This gives you a clear advantage in competitive games especially. Now, let’s get into our testing methodology.
