Samsung 870 QVO Solid State Drive Review

We are at the point where many people are replacing their older high capacity standard hard drives with solid state drives. The biggest hurdles to making the switch is price and capacity. For the past couple of years the highest capacity you could get an SSD in was 1TB and even if there were some higher capacities available the price was just too much to make it worth it. Well, Samsung wants to change that with their 870 QVO solid state drive. This drive combines Samsung’s own MKX controller with 96-layer QLC NAND which enables capacities all the way up to 8TB. Today we will be taking a look at the 1TB version of the drive, which is currently selling for $109 at our favorite online retailer.

Special thanks to Samsung for providing us with the 870 QVO Solid State Drive to review.

Packaging
