CS:GO Could Get A Battle Royale Mode

The success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) really put the battle royale genre on the map. While it was not the first battle royale game PUBG has had incredible success, selling over 20 million copies wordwide, and it currently sits in the number one spot on Steam’s most-played games list. Games like Dota 2 and CS:GO used to hold that spot, but don’t come anywhere close to the numbers that PUBG does. Well it appears that CS:GO might get a battle royale mode.

In the Valve News Network’s latest video they analyzed the last ten CS:GO patches and found many references to a survival mode. These references included adrenaline shots, compound bows, Mk 2 grenades, medic kits, parachutes, drones, fist-to-fist combat, beacons, a new survival island map, and other battle royale related content.

While we don’t have an official announcement, it looks like Valve is going to cave in and add a battle royale mode to CS:GO to attract more players.

The game is already a big hit with its high levels of competition, rare CS:GO skins, and immense popularity. Do you think Valve will launch a Battle Royale mode, though? Let us know in the comments.
