EKSA E900 Pro Gaming Headset Review

EKSA E900 Pro Overview

E900 Pro_overview

At first glimpse, the EKSA E900 Pro looks more like your average pair of headphones as opposed to an actual gaming headset. The E900 Pro is predominantly black. However, there is a red ring around each ear cup. Also, there is a red cable that connects each ear up to the headband. The ear cups have an over the ear design that feels very natural. The E900 Pro has a headphone sensitivity between 115-121 decibels and an impedance of 30Ω. The ESKA E900 Pro uses 50mm headphone drivers.

The EKSA E900 Pro uses a removable, omnidirectional, and noise-canceling microphone that attaches to the left ear cup on the headset. The E900 Pro comes with two separate cables. One cable is your traditional 3.5 mm cable. The second cable is a USB type-a to type-c cable. In order to take advantage of the 7.1 surround sound the E900 Pro offers, you must use the USB Type-C cable.

On the side of each ear cup, there is an EKSA logo that is LED-backlit. The LED on the EKSA E900 Pro is red. However, the only way to power these LEDs are by using the USB Type-C cable. If you decide to use the 3.5mm cable, the LEDs will not illuminate. The actual headband is made up of a plastic band, padding, and leather. On the outside of the band, we see the EKSA logo. On the underside of the band, there is padding on the headband that makes the E900 Pro that much more comfortable. The outside of the headband has the EKSA branding on the top side.

Like the headband, each ear cup is made up of padded leather. They are extremely comfortable. Each ear cup is marked with either an L for the left side or an R for the right side and is retractable. This allows you to adjust the E900 Pro to fit a variety of head sizes. The ear cups themselves attach to a metal hinge that attaches to the headband. Each of these metal hinges is adjustable by up to 10°.  There is a red spiral wire that connects the ear cups to the headband, similar to my Fnatic Duel headset that I’ve been a big fan of for years now. The headband has a decent amount of padding on the inside that makes the E900 Pro very comfortable, even over extended periods of time.,

Looking at the right ear cup, the R900 Pro looks not much different than a pair of headphones. However, on the left ear cup, there are signs of this being a gaming headset. There is both the 3.5 mm jack for the auxiliary cable, as well as a USB Type-C cable. Next to the USB Type-C port, there is another 3.5mm jack. However, this one is designed for the removable boom mic. There is a square design so only the boom mic that comes packed with the E900 Pro will fit. In addition, there is a microphone mute button, as well as a volume knob. In order to take advantage of the virtual 7.1 surround sound, you must connect the E900 Pro via USB, not the 3.5 mm cable.
