Testing – SATA, USB & Network
To test SATA and USB speeds we make use of CrystalDiskMark hard drive benchmarking tool. First up is our SATA drive which is a 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K solid state drive.
For the USB 3.0 test we also use CrystalDiskMark. Using a USB 3.0 hard drive dock and a 120GB Corsair Force GT solid state drive we run the drive through the benchmark.
To test the network adapter performance we use Sandra’s Network (LAN) benchmark. We make sure it connects to the same host (our router) each time. We testing the Killer E2400 against the other NIC on the board which is the Intel i219.

You cannot install the i/o cover if you use the top slot for any of the new 1070 or 1080 cpu’s. The card gets in the way of the i/o cover on this mobo. And you want to use the top slot for your video card, closest to the CPU.
