Fractal Design Adjust 108 Fan Controller Review

Coming to us from the frozen north of Scandinavia is a product from Fractal Design. The Adjust 108 is a 6 channel fan controller from this award winning Swedish company. The minimalistic controller looks great on paper, but how does it perform? Follow along as we test this controller and see if it’s up to par.

Special thanks to Fractal Design for providing the Adjust 108 Fan Controller for review!

Features
– A stylish and minimalistic aluminum front covers the fan controller
– The Adjust 108 is equipped with six (6) fan channels
– One bi-color LED per channel, where white describes a low RPM and blue a high RPM
– Intensity jumper for the LEDs, with options of 100% and 50% intensity and an OFF feature
– Uses only one 5.25″ bay

Packaging
The Adjust 108 comes in a pretty standard cardboard box. The dark design is offset with baby blue and white text. The top of the box is pretty plain letting you know what you’re looking and not a whole lot more.

Moving to the back of the box you will find a brief description, key features, as well as technical specifications, and a listing of the contents.

Flipping open the top you will find the controller wrapped in protective anti-static packaging, a small manual, and installation screws. The anti-static packaging is a nice touch for a fan controller and not something you always receive them wrapped in. Between that and the foam that holds the controller firmly and you can tell that Fractal Design is very concerned that you receive their product in good working condition.

  1. I assume that the unit provides full power for a second or so to ensure that all the fans start up. It is possible for some fans to run below their startup voltage and therefore won’t come on when the system restarts.

  2. I have this unit and I love it. I had bought the NZXT Sentry Mix which was rated at 50W/channel and it failed to start my fans (Noctua NF-A14) unless I had it at max. Took it back and drove to NCIX store in Mississauga and grabbed the adjust 108. Does what it is supposed to do and powers up all of my six fans without a hiccup. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable fan controller.
