Fractal Design Epoch Case Overview
As you can see we received the white version of the Epoch. It will be available in both white and black versions. I appears that the white version only comes with a tempered glass side panel, but the black version you will be able to get in a solid panel. As far as size goes the official dimensions of the case are 447 x 215 x 469 mm, so I would consider this a more compact mid tower.
Starting at the front of the case we have a nice mesh front panel, giving this case a high airflow design. Towards the bottom of the case on the left side is a small laser-etched Fractal Design logo badge.

If you pull up on the front panel from the bottom it will easily come off. This reveals the three included Momentum 12 (120mm) fans. We have the RGB version of the case, so these are the RGB versions. The non-RGB versions of the case will just have normal Momentum 12 fans. These fans use a simple Type-C connection to daisy-chain to each other and then break-out to a single fan and ARGB connection to connect to your motherboard. The front of the case will support a 360mm radiator if you were wondering.

Moving up to the top of the case we have our ports and buttons. You get a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a large power button, and a combination headphone / microphone jack. The rest of the top of the case is ventilated.

Like many other Fractal Design products there is a tab at the top of the case that allows you to easily remove the top panel of the case. This time it’s made of fabric. Pulling off the top panel of the case we can see there is a cooling bracket built into the case. It will support two 120mm or 140mm fans or radiators up to 240mm.

The main side panel of the case is a tempered glass panel, with no tint at all. The panel extends about 80% of the side of the case, much like what we saw on Fractal’s North cases. The opposite side panel is just a normal steel panel.
Moving on to the back of the case we have a pretty standard design with a fan mount, lots of ventilation, our motherboard mount, and then a power supply mount at the bottom. The fan mount will only support a 120 mm fan or radiator. We can also see the captive thumbscrews that hold each side panel in place. There is a small filter that pulls out from the bottom of the case for the power supply.
