Want to benchmark your Surface tablet or other Windows RT device? Well now you can with Futuremark’s 3DMark for Windows RT. It has been announced as a free application for Windows RT.
The benchmark suite includes three different tests based on the “Ice Storm” tests scene. These are “Ice Storm”, “Ice Storm Extreme” and “Ice Storm Unlimited”. “Ice Storm” stresses DirectX 11 feature level 9 tests. “Ice Storm Extreme” will run the same scene at 1080p resolution. “Ice Storm Unlimited” adds more detail with higher resolution textures and post-processing.
