Gamers Prefer NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Over AMD’s Entire Radeon RX 6000 GPU Lineup According To Steam Hardware Survey

A recent Steam hardware survey shows NVIDIA’s flagship RTX 3090 superiority over AMD’s entire Radeon RX 6000 series in terms of overall market share. Although the database is not indicative of actual market share, it shows that only 1 out of 14 gamers use/prefer AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards.

The total share of the RX 6000 series sums up to be 0.34 with the flagship capturing 0.08% share, the 6800 XT has a 0.1%, 6800’s share is 0.05%, & the recently launched 6700 XT share stands at 0.11%. In comparison, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, the RTX 3090 alone has a 0.37% (Linux) share. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 share is at 0.85% and the RTX 3060 series amounts for 1% share. RTX 3070 has the highest market share 1.53%. The database does not include the RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3070 Ti.

The total share for NVIDIA RTX 30 and AMD RX6000 series sums up to be 93.4% and 6.6% respectively. As for the Linux share, the AMD RDNA2 series has a 0.68% share while NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series enjoys a 9.6% share.

The steam survey only shows that the majority of their user base uses NVIDIA cards.
