The 5900HX has 8 Cores and 16 Threads. It operates on a base clock of 3.3 GHz and can boost up to 4.6 GHz (Turbo). TSMC’s modern 7nm process is used to manufacture the chip. The “X” is used to denote the processor’s overclocking capabilities. AMD’s 5900HX also has integrated Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics with 8 CUs and up to 2100 MHz boost.
As far as the I/O is concerned, besides the pre-installed Intel AX200 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 adapter, HX90 offers 2 HDMI ports, 2 display ports, 2 LINE OUT, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, 5 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB-C port, 1 Clear CMOS and 2 Mic. Since Windows 11 is not released yet, the Mini PC will have the Windows 10 pro pre-installed, but it is compatible for an upgrade to Windows 11.
Carbon Fibre Body:
The EliteMini HX90 features a carbon fiber based chassis with grain textured design on the surface. The main structural parts of the HX90 and the black part of the fuselage are injection molded with carbon fiber composite materials. Carbon Fibre not only has a rich texture or a delicate feel but also offers great thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and durability.
4 monitor at 4K res:
AMD’s Radeon™ Graphics is capable of supporting up to 4 displays through two HDMI and two DisplayPort. The displays can operate up to 4K resolution at 60Hz.
Easy to upgrade:
Users can easily upgrade as the Mini PC offers a variety of ports and supports up to 64 GB RAM. Moreover, the processor can also reach up to a 4.6GHz boost using Precision Boost.
Liquid Metal Cooling:
The CPU temps are kept under control through direct CPU contact and a premium metal liquid compound. Plenty of Open Ventilation and fans also play their role to keep the CPU cool. The fan produces a 30 dB sound under full load.
The HX90 will be released on 4th August 2021.
