GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Prices on the Rise As Supplies Dwindle

Multiple sources have confirmed to GamersNexus that NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards are starting to be real difficult to find. Supplies are decreasing and the consensus is that NVIDIA could have stopped production of those graphics cards.

This dwindling supply has a direct effect on pricing, which seems to have increased everywhere. If we compare to the new RTX cards the RTX 2080 starts at $769 at Newegg, while the cheapest GTX 1080 Ti on the site is $850. If we head on over to Amazon we see the same thing, the cheapest RTX 2080 is $799.99 compared to $878.12 for a used GTX 1080 Ti.

With these pricing climbing, many think this will happen to the GTX 1080, GTX 1070 or GTX 1070 Ti as well. With the reports of RTX 2080 Ti cards dying unexpectedly could be fueling consumer fear, as well as Microsoft pulling the Windows 10 1809 Update, which leaves many people without DirectX Ray-tracing, the real selling point of the RTX series cards.
