The RTX 4080 SUPER has been on the market for over five months, and unlike its non-SUPER counterpart, it experienced price adjustments relatively quickly. Though it remains pricey, gamers are observing a steady decrease in its cost.
Newegg has recently slashed the price of the RTX 4080 SUPER Verto, PNY’s “MSRP” model that launched in January. In contrast to the XLR8 series, this model doesn’t include flashy gaming-style RGB lighting, opting for just a lit-up PNY logo instead.
The card is currently priced at $969.99, marking a $30 reduction from the official MSRP. Surprisingly, this price is lower than what PNY’s official store offers. Notably, this marks the first instance of a major retailer like Newegg providing such a discount. Previously, comparable deals were only found on Dell’s website, which isn’t favored by many gamers.
The RTX 4080 SUPER boasts a complete AD103 GPU containing 10,240 CUDA cores, complemented by 16GB of GDDR6X memory and a standard TDP of 320W. Despite being PNY’s budget-friendly VERTO model, it comes with factory overclocking, albeit a modest 2.9%.
