GIGABYTE has introduced another External SSD under the VISION external SSD series, Vision Drive 1 TB external SSD. The model features a lightweight and portable design.
The drive’s external casing features a clean design and exceptional cooling properties. For starters, it features a Rubber foot, a standalone nanocarbon heat spread, venting holes, and high conductivity thermal pad. The heat-producing parts of the SSD are kept cool using aluminum heatsinks and high thermal conductivity pads.
The SSD also features the MIL-STD-810G rating, which confirms that the SSD is shock resistant and can bear an accidental drop from up to 122cm.
The SSD is based on the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface which features a transfer speed of up to 20GB/s which is four times faster than the transfer speed (5GB/s) of USB 3.2 Gen 1 and almost double of the USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10GB/s). The interface is powered through a USB Type-C connection.
The Vision Drive features a capacity of up to 1TB and can provide Sequential Read/Write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s. You are also provided a 5-year warranty with the drive.
