A 27-inch inch monitor is the ideal size for a 1440p display. This display has a pixel per inch ratio of 109, which means you are going to have a sharp screen at full resolution and there is no need to any scaling to read text or anything like that.
Viewing websites in a fully expanded window is most ideal, you can do side-by-side but things will get crunched down a little.
Since the G27Q using an IPS panel you are going to get very accurate and consistent colors. This is not only great when watching media, but playing games. I mostly played Apex Legends on the G27Q, but spent a few hours on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The display works with AMD Freesync no problem over both HDMI and DisplayPort. I mainly used the “FPS” setting when gaming and it worked out quite well. Obviously gaming at 144 Hz is so much better than 60 or even 100 Hz. Also most modern games look excellent at 1440p.
We use the Datacolor SpyderX Pro to test the display. Out of the box we find 100% of sRGB, 87% of AdobeRGB, and 97% of P3 color spaces.
We also measure a brightness level of 373.9 at the displays highest brightness setting on the “Standard” monitor profile.
We can also see the brightness levels at all of the different profiles at their default settings.
