Gigabyte’s GeForce GTX 1080 Extreme Gaming graphics card is one of the best GTX 1080 currently available. Well at Gigabyte’s Summer Press Event they told us about the GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Premium Pack, which gives you some great useful accessories. The Standard Edition of the card only comes with a PCIe power cable and a few other goodies. The Premium Pack is actually a great idea if you want to do VR or plan on doing SLI.

The biggest thing that stands out is that you get a Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming SLI HB Bridge, VR Link 5.25-inch front bracket, and VR Link extended bracket. The Xtreme Gaming SLI HB Bridge is brand new and designed to follow the same design as the 1000-series Xtreme Gaming graphics cards. It also features an illuminated Xtreme Gaming logo with customizable effects.
Gigabyte’s Xtreme VR Link makes using your VR headset really easy. It includes both a 5.25-inch front panel or an extension PCI bracket. Both of which feature two extra HDMI ports. The GTX 1080 only has a single HDMI port, so if you use that for your monitor you will not be able to connect a VR device. The 5.25-inch front panel also has two USB 3.0 ports.
Besides the useful the accessories that the Premium Pack comes with Gigabyte tells us that it should only have a $20 premium over the standard Edition of the card!
