Gigabyte Introduces SuperSpeed IPS Gaming Monitor With 4K Resolution

The market for gaming monitors is rapidly expanding, and Gigabyte’s newest offering features a 4K SuperSpeed IPS panel. The Gigabyte M27UA has a 27-inch display, as indicated by its name, and it likely uses an 8-bit + FRC panel. It covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, boasts a typical brightness of 400 cd/m², and has a 5 ms grey-to-grey response time.

The M27UA features a 160 Hz refresh rate, comparable to top-tier IPS gaming monitors, and it is AMD FreeSync Premium certified. It includes Gigabyte’s standard software features such as Aim Stabilizer Sync, Black Equalizer 2.0, built-in crosshairs, night vision, and an FPS counter. Additionally, Gigabyte’s OSD Sidekick allows you to adjust monitor settings through a Windows app.

The Gigabyte M27UA comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB Type-C port that supports DP Alt mode and 18W USB PD. It also has a USB 3.2 Type-B port and three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, allowing for KVM functionality, with a dedicated KVM button on the back. Additionally, it includes a headphone jack and built-in 3-watt speakers.

Along with KVM, the monitor supports Picture in Picture and Picture by Picture modes. The included stand allows for height and tilt adjustments, but lacks swivel and pivot options. A notable advantage of this monitor is its low power consumption of 34 watts. However, the company has not yet provided details on availability or pricing.
