ASUS Introduces 5×4 inch NUC 14 PRO+ Featuring Up To Core Ultra 9 185H

ASUS has launched the NUC 14 Pro, a revamped model of the NUC 14 Pro, succeeding Intel’s primary NUC line of Mini-PCs with a design now exclusively by ASUS. This new generation shifts from the traditional 4×4 inch chassis to a 5×4 inch format. ASUS presently offers four NUC series products, all utilizing the Meteor Lake (Core Ultra 100H) series.

The ASUS NUC 14 Pro+ comes with several Intel Core Ultra processor options, including the Ultra 9 185H, Ultra 7 165H vPro, Ultra 7 155H, Ultra 5 135H, and Ultra 5 125H. This means the 14 Pro+ can be configured with up to the Core Ultra 9, which is the only model in the series that uses a higher TDP by default.

The NUC 14 Pro+ is available in a single chassis design measuring 144x112x41 mm. In contrast, the original 14 Pro was offered in two sizes: 117x112x54 mm (tall) and 117x112x37 mm (slim), with the taller version accommodating a 2.5″ drive, a feature not present in the 14 Pro+. For storage, the NUC 14 Pro+ includes one M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe SSD slot and one M.2 2242 PCIe x4 NVMe SSD slot.

The ASUS NUC 14 Pro+ offers various connectivity options, such as integrated WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. It includes a single Intel I226V 2.5G LAN port. On the front (side), it features one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C (20 Gbps) port and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. The rear I/O ports include two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, two HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) ports, an RJ45 LAN port, a DC-in port, and a Kensington Lock slot.

The NUC 14 Pro+ comes with a 150W adapter for the U9 model and a 120W adapter for the U5/U7 models. Prices begin at €646 for the base model, which includes the Core Ultra 5 125H processor, without memory or storage. The highest-priced configuration is €1391, featuring the top-tier Meteor Lake CPU, 1TB storage, and 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory.
