Gigabyte RTX 4070 Custom GPUs Rumored To Feature Either 16pin or 8pin Power Connectors

Leaker @momomo_us recently shared four renders of Gigabyte’s upcoming custom designs for the RTX 4070 non-Ti launch next week. These designs include the Eagle, WindForce, Gaming, and Aero series. The renders reveal that two of the cards will have an 8-pin power connector, while the other two will feature the newer 16-pin connector.

This leak confirms a rumor that NVIDIA will offer two different SKUs for the RTX 4070. Board partners will have the option to choose between a premium SKU with an estimated 225W TDP by default, and a standard model with 200W. The standard model is expected to have a $599 MSRP and will likely be featured in the first reviews set to be released on April 12th.

In terms of the design of the upcoming Gigabyte cards, it appears that they will continue to use a triple-fan design, and none of the cards will be dual-slot. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as it is expected that the RTX 4070 Ti and 4070 will likely share the same coolers and possibly even PCBs, with the only exception being the new platform with a standard 8-pin power connector.
