Usage & Final Thoughts on the GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro Gaming Keyboard

I’ve been using the Mercury K1 Pro for the past couple of weeks now and I have to say I’ve been quite impressed. As I mentioned earlier in this review, when you see products that have this type of design language they typically end up being all looks, but GravaStar has done a really good job on this keyboard. The typing and gaming experience is quite good and snappy. The linear GravaStar x Kailh Speedy Mint switches felt very responsive. So whether you are typing or doing some gaming you are going to have good experience with this keyboard.

Sound is also going to be very important with any keyboard and I think with the 5-layer sound dampening design GravaStar has also knocked it out of the park here. You have a very nice thocky sound which I feel most people will appreciate. Below is a sound test so you can get a good idea of the sound profile.

And of course the most interesting thing about this keyboard is going to be the looks. As I said GravaStar has really leaned into the futuristic and alien-like design for they products and they are doing it quite well. With the Mercury K1 Pro they are really taking things to the next level as the outer frame of the keyboard is made of aluminum and not only looks amazing, but is quite solid. With this design, the pudding-style keycaps, and the RGB lighting this keyboard is for sure going to stand out sitting on your desk.

I would have liked to have seen better software for this keyboard. It is basic at best, although it was nice we could still use it while in wireless mode. It also appears you can only get this keyboard with the Speedy Mint linear switches, it would have been nice to have a few different switch options.

Overall I think this is an excellent keyboard and if you are into the whole design of this keyboard you are absolity going to love it. Right now you can pick up this keyboard at our favorite online retailer for $199.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the GravaStar Mercury K1 Pro Gaming Keyboard a 9 out of 10 score.
