Microsoft is finally bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC! The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Reach, Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. One thing that is interesting is that these games will not all be released at once, but in stages with each game being released in chronological order.
343 Industries said that stagggering the release schedule will enable them to ensure that each game is “right” with PC-standard features including FOV sliders, 4K resolution and ultrawide monitor support, adjustable framerates, and remappable keys. Beyond their initial launch, the games will “evolve and grow over time with community input,” Microsoft said.
While no pricing or release dates have been unveiled, one other interesting thing about this is that Microsoft will be releasing the games on both The Microsoft Store as well as Steam. The Steam page for The Master Chief has already been created so that is definitely happening.
