In Win A1 Plus Mini-ITX Case Review

In Win A1 Plus Overview

The In Win A1 Plus being a mini-ITX case it is quite small with official dimensions of 273 x 224 x 357mm (HxWxD). We received that white version of the case, but it also comes in black as well. The case itself is mainly made of SECC, but the side panel window is tempered glass.

Starting at the front of the case it is pretty much all plain except for the In Win logo towards the top. With no front intake at all it makes you wonder what the airflow is going to be like.

Moving up to the top, again a pretty plain panel. There is a small circle with the In Win logo in the center. This is the Qi wireless charger, which you can use to charge a mobile device. This has been upgraded from the previous version (5W) to a 10W charger. At the front right are a few connections and buttons. There is a large power button, two activity LEDs, two USB 3.0 ports, and HD audio jacks.

Moving along to the side of the case we have our tempered glass panel, which you can tell is tinted. It has two sort of knobs towards the top which will allow it to be released. They not only makes removing the panel easy, but also makes it so you don’t get fingerprints on the panel either.

At the back of the case we can see that the A1 Plus will support a dual-slot graphics card and that we have a rear fan installed. This is one of the two In Win ASL120 RGB fans that are included with the case. Right at the center towards the bottom is a power connection, this is for the included power supply, which we will show you once we get inside.

The opposite side panel is white and has In Win’s honeycomb cooling slits built into it. It is held into place by two captive screws, which again make this panel quite easy to remove.

If you haven’t noticed by now the case itself is sitting on sort of a stand. This stand allows the case to be lifted off the ground for proper airflow, but also bring the opportunity for more cooling. You can install two 120 mm fans and there is actually an RGB strip embedded in the stand, which we will show you once we get our system built.
