SilverStone LD03 Case Review

SilverStone is no stranger here at ThinkComputers, as we have taken a look at many of their offerings in the past. So when they reached out to see if we would be interested in taking a look at the latest case in their Lucid series of cases, the LD03, we jumped on the opportunity. The SilverStone Lucid series cases offer multiple tempered glass panels for a comprehensive look at the case interior, which really isn’t anything too crazy. What really piqued our interest however, was the rotated motherboard orientation and unique shape and design that go along with this layout. If you are looking for a unique looking Mini-ITX case, follow along as we examine the SilverStone LD03.

Special thanks to SilverStone for providing us with the LD03 review sample!

Packaging

The LD03 arrived on our doorstep in a standard brown cardboard box, featuring an illustrated image of the front of the case, along with the case name and some verbiage regarding the case’s size and looks.

With the box opened, we found the LD03 to be sandwiched between two close-cell foam forms, and protected by plastic wrap. The packing job for the LD03 was great, and is especially important considering the fact that three of the sides of this case feature tempered glass.
