Intel Compute Stick (2nd Generation) Review

Benchmarking
To give you a good idea of performance we will be running a few different benchmarks on this system. Keep in mind the Intel Compute Stick is not meant to replace a normal-size PC. Its applications are more internet browsing, word processing, kiosk, etc. While the following benchmarks will give you an idea of performance be sure to check out the following page for our real-world tests.

We will be starting our benchmarking with Futuremark’s latest release, PCMark 8. This includes many different tests, but we will be running the Home, Work, and Creative benchmarks.

Next we have PCMark 7, which is a bit older but still gives us a good idea of overall system performance.

Up next is Geekbench. Geekbench 3 is Primate Labs’ cross-platform processor benchmark, with a new scoring system that separates single-core and multi-core performance, and new workloads that simulate real-world scenarios.

Finally to test the speed of the hard drive we use CrystalDiskMark.
