Intel Core i7-3820 Quad-Core Core Processor Review

Testing – CPU Tests
There are many CPU benchmarks built into AIDA64.  We first will be running Hash, Queen and PhotoWorxx.  Higher scores are better here.

The AES benchmark is next.  This benchmark measures CPU performance using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) data encryption. In cryptography AES is a symmetric-key encryption standard. AES is used in several compression tools today, like 7z, RAR, WinZip, and also in disk encryption solutions like BitLocker, FileVault (Mac OS X), TrueCrypt.  You can see the huge difference between the 2 processors here.

Back to SiSoftware’s Sandra we ran both the Processor Arithmetic and Processor Multimedia.

Cinebench R11.5’s test scenario uses all of your system’s processing power to render a photorealistic 3D scene (from the viral “No Keyframes” animation by AixSponza). This scene makes use of various algorithms to stress all available processor cores.

Finally we dive deeper into Performance Test 7.0 Pass Mark’s CPU Mark scores.
