Logitech Wireless Headset F540 Review

Logitech is a brand that virtually every computer user and PC gamer knows and associates with quality products. While Logitech has a stronghold in the PC gaming market, their share in the console world is a bit smaller. The Wireless Headset F540 is ready to change that. The F540 is equipped to deliver game and voice audio wirelessly for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Featuring independent volume controls, 40mm laser-tuned drivers, audio inputs for up to three sources, a rechargeable battery, and great sound, the F540 aims to give console gamers a taste of what Logitech has provided PC gamers with for years.

Special thanks to Logitech for providing us with the Wireless Headset F540 to review.

Packaging
The outside of the box sports the usual Logitech colors, green and white. A picture of the headset graces the front of the box, with a couple features listed underneath. There is also a graphic letting you know that the headset is rechargeable. The back of the box provides more in-depth product information, and the F540’s “hush is not an option” gimmick. Some of the product information listed includes, 40 mm laser-tuned drivers, 2.4GHz wireless, and 10 hours of game time. The F540’s gimmick is that you can game late at night without disturbing anyone else. While the game’s audio may not be audible to anyone else, any boisterous trash-talking (claiming the other team “hacks”), will most certainly be heard.
