According to a new report Intel could launch its 10th generation Core “Comet Lake-S” desktop processors on April 30th. These new processors are built in the new LGA1200 package and will require a new Intel 400-series chipset motherboard. These motherboards will launch alongside the processors. The 30th is likely just an announcement date, with product availability coming a little bit later.
The 10th generation series will have the flagship Core i9-10900K, which will be a 10-core, 20-thread part, which has a base clock of 3.7 GHz and a max turbo up to 5.3 GHz (thermal velocity boost). The Core i9 series should range from $400-500, the Core i7 series should be around $300-400, and the Core i5 series will be around $180-300.
