Overview
Both the 2200 and Air Maca Color cases are very attractive cases. MiPow sent us 2 different color, black and red. The red is more of a pink though. MiPow offers these cases in a total of 8 different colors. The backside of the cases have an anodized metallic coating and just look awesome.
Just like most all other iPhone cases you have an opening towards the top for the camera and flash on the iPhone 4. On the bottom there is a power button that will allow you to turn the charging on your iPhone on or off and will let you check to see how much charge the battery has left.
The inside of the cases are pretty plain, they are just black. You can see how your iPhone will just slide right into the case and connect with the dock connector at the bottom. Also there are 2 small speaker holes on each case so you can actually use speaker-phone when you have the case installed.
The case is charged by a small mini USB connection on the bottom of the case. If you have your phone installed in the case this connection can also sync your phone to your computer, which is a nice plus so you don’t have to take the phone out of the case to sync it.
Obviously the difference between the 2 cases is the capacity and size. The smaller air is extremely thin and MiPow claims it to be the slimmest battery case for the iPhone 4. The 2200 is a bit thicker, but still not that thick and bulky at all.
