MSI’s 11th Gen DIY Motherboard Features Intel Tiger Lake CPUs For Pro Users

MSI’s Pro HM570TI-B I526 mini-ITX motherboard has just been released. It comes with Intel’s 11th Gen Tiger Lake CPU for the PRO segment. The motherboard has been designed keeping in mind those users who are looking to work on a small form factor workstation that can give the same power efficiency as that of a laptop. With this Tiger Lake CPU from Intel, 6 cores are spread across 12 threads, and have a boost clock of 4.4 GHz and a 45W TDP.

MSI’s new Tiger Lake motherboard is featuring the HM570 chipset. It can support DDR4-3200 SODIMM memory of up to 64 GB and also allows the use of up to two SATA storage device ports and a single M.2 Gen 4 x4 slot. The single M.2 slot also allows the usage of wireless cards, which proves beneficial in office settings. Moving on to the input and output, the new MSI Tiger Lake motherboard offers 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 5 USB 2.0 ports, 1 serial port, one HDMI port, and two standard Ethernet and mic/audio ports.

The cooling system hasn’t come to the limelight as of yet. We can make some guesses looking at the mounting holes and their spacing and it appears that the CPU is capable of utilizing LGA 1151/1200/1700 coolers. Coolers with short heights will be more ideal in case this motherboard is being used in a smaller chassis.

The board’s power mainly comes from the power brick which is mostly seen on mobile laptops and smaller systems that lack the space to accommodate the power system. There appears to be no option for expansion or graphics and users will have to make peace with the iGPU on the Intel Tiger Lake CPU. We are waiting for MSI to announce more details regarding availability and pricing.
