Mushkin Expands Reactor SSD Line

Mushkin originally launched the Reactor solid state drive in a single capacity, 1TB. While 1TB is a lot of storage space, not everyone needs that much storage space, especially for an SSD so they are expanding the Reactor line to include two more capacities: 256GB and 512GB.

The Mushkin Reactor solid state drive features the Silicon Motion SM2246EN controller and has rated sequential read and write speeds of 560 MB/s and 460 MB/s respectively, with random 4K read and writes of 74K IOPS and 76K IOPS respectively.

To celebrate the addition of the two drives Mushkin will be having a sweepstakes as well as giving users who purchase the drive through Newegg a $30 Ghost Recon Phantoms game code.

“To celebrate the expansion of our very popular REACTOR SSD starting May 1, 2015, gaming fans can enter our Ghost Recon Phantoms Sweepstakes for a chance to win up a custom built Mushkin Extreme Gaming PC and much more.” Said Nicolas Villalobos, Director of Global Marketing at Mushkin Inc. “As part of the celebration fans who purchase select Mushkin products through will also receive a Ghost Recon Phantoms $30 Value game code – free”
