Mushkin Redline DDR4-3200 16GB Memory Kit Review

Mushkin Redline Overview
Mushkin’s Redline series of DDR4 has been around for a very long time. It is actually hard to know which kit you might be talking about as many “Redline” kits have different heatspreaders and designs. Again this is the MRA4U320GJJM8GX2 kit which features the FrostByte G3 heatspreaders. These heatspreaders are red and that seems to be the only color offered by the company.

These heatspreaders look pretty good overall. On the far left they say “Redline Frostbyte” and on the other you have the Mushkin logo. One thing that really sticks out though is the green PCB. It is 2019 we really shouldn’t have high performance memory modules that use a green PCB. A black PCB would look so much better here.

Flipping the kit over we have the same heatspreader design on the back, but there is a large sticker with all of the information on this kit. This kit runs at 3200 MHz with timings of 16-18-18-38 at 1.35V.

The top of the heatspreaders sort of come together at the top in a spiral design. This is an interesting design, but since Mushkin has been using this design since 2015 it really feels dated.
