Next-Gen Intel Z790 Motherboard From MSI To Launch On 27th September

MSI has teased the launch of their next-generation Intel Z790 motherboards for 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs for the 27th of September.

The MEG Z790 ACE, MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi, MPG Z790 EDGE WiFi Force, and the MAG Z790 Tomahawk are just a few examples of the MSI MAG, MPG, and MEG series motherboards that are compatible. MSI announced their next-generation MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi a few weeks ago, as we mentioned here, and the MSI Z790 motherboards will offer all new capabilities compared to the Z690 series.

Intel’s 13th-generation “Raptor Lake” is the last Intel CPU generation to use the LGA 1700 platform. According to Chipzilla, LGA 1700 boards using the 600-series chipset should be compatible with Raptor Lake processors. Raptor Lake CPUs will also support DDR5-5600 speeds, which is a significant increase above Alder Lake’s native DDR5-5200 rates.
