NVIDIA And AMD Graphics Cards Will Again Become More Expensive

As per a quick market analysis in Germany, the graphics card prices have been renounced.

3DCenter’s recent report on the latest graphics card market is based on the prices of the most popular German retailers. The report states that after a month of stable prices, they are on the rise again.

AMD nVidia Retail Price Trend 2021 v6

A massive price decrease was observed in May 2021. This induced hope among GPU enthusiasts and gamers who found it difficult to purchase a nominally priced card. Don’t forget about the shortage issue. Since then, the card availability issue has decreased, but no SKU is available at its original MSRP.

The recent analysis reflects an upward trend of AMD and NVIDIA’s card prices. AMD cards have witnessed a steady price increase of 3-4% each month since early July. In comparison, NVIDIA’s cards are on the rise after reaching their record low in mid-February. German consumers had to pay 1.65X the MSRP of the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series on August 29th. For NVIDIA buyers, it was 159% on average.

MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming X Graphics Card

3DCenter states the average list price shown does not include the new GPU releases like RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3070 Ti, and RX 6600 XT. These cards were released at a relatively higher MSRP in comparison to the current models, which skewed the graph by showing lower values.

The latest reports of increasing price mid-range GPUs and their decreasing supply do not reflect a positivity for an upcoming report which will most probably be released in 2 weeks.
