Plans for CES 2023 have been reaffirmed by NVIDIA. According to our knowledge, the event will focus mostly on GeForce RTX 40 mobile GPUs. This comprises the RTX 4090, 4080, and 4070, as well as perhaps the mid-range series. Today, a leak confirmed the laptop GPU specifications for the RTX 4080.
In addition, NVIDIA will reveal its desktop GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. It’s the same card that was discontinued along with the RTX 4080 12GB around two months ago. NVIDIA concluded that having two cards with the same product name but vastly different levels of performance was significantly confusing to delay and rename the GPU.
The mobile RTX 40 series is likely to be released in early January, just as laptop manufacturers begin to showcase new laptop designs. When it comes to the desktop version of the 4070 Ti, this card is scheduled to go on sale on January 5—that is, only two days after the “GeForce Beyond” event when the formal announcement was made. The new date for the event is January 3 at 8 a.m. PT. The event may be seen by gamers via the official accounts on Twitch or YouTube.
