NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 To Launch on April 13th

All of the rumors we’ve been hearing about the NVIDIA RTX 4070 (non-Ti) have pointed to a launch in April. While that could be anytime in April, it seems the date has been specified as April 13th. The comes from well known leaker hongxing2020 on Twitter, who’s had a pretty good track record of launch dates for the RTX 30 and RTX 40 series cars from NVIDIA.

The RTX 4070 (non-Ti), will be based on the same AD104 GPU as the RTX 4070 Ti, but will have less cores. It will however have the same memory specs as the Ti version. This would give the card 46 streaming multiprocessors (SMs), so you’ll have 5,888 CUDA cores enabled. The 12 GB of GDDR6X memory will run on a 192-bit memory interface. We’ve been hearing rumors of a 200W TDP.

Another rumor that we’ve been hearing is that NVIDIA could launch three different SKUs of this card, a 16GB model, 12GB model, and a 10GB model. Although that is a pretty vague rumor at this point.

NVIDIA’s GTC will kick off on March 21st with CEO, Jensen Huang giving the keynote. So hopefully we’ll give some more details on the RTX 4070 and the rest of the remaining RTX 40 series lineup.
