ORICO GV100 Portable Solid State Drive Overview
Like most portable solid state drives the ORICO GV100 is very small. It is just over 4-inches long and only an inch wide. This makes it easy to carry with you in your pocket or even easier to throw in your laptop bag.
The main part of the drive is wrapped in blue aluminum alloy, which should give the drive some protection and of course looks pretty cool. On the front you have the ORICO logo. On the back it lets us know the capacity, which again is 512GB. ORICO offers the drive in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions.
On thing that makes the GV100 different from some of the other portable solid state drives we’ve reviewed in the past is that there is a key-ring at the end. This allows you to easily attach the drive to your keys, a carabiner, and more. This part of the drive is made of ABS plastic, it would have been nice to see it be aluminum though.
On the other end of the drive you have your connection, which is a single USB 3.2 gen 2 type-C port. There is also a small activity LED.
I did not mention how thin the drive is too at only 9.9 mm thin. The drive only weighs 39g too.
