Last month Corsair announced their Neutron XT solid state drives. These drives make use of a Phison PS3110 quad-core controller and modern 19 nm Toshiba A19 MLC NAND flash chips over an 8-channel interface. When the original announcement was made no pricing details were announced, but now we have them!
The Neutron XT will be available in 240 GB, 480 GB and 960 GB capacities. The 240 GB variant will have sequential read and write speeds of 564 MB/s and 547 MB/s respectively. The 480 GB and 960 GB variants on the other hand will have 562 MB/s reads with up to 542 MB/s writes on the 480 GB and 532 MB/s writes on the 960 GB. All three drives have a write endurance of 124 TB.
The 240 GB version will be $149.99, the 480 GB $269.99 and the 960 GB will set you back $539.00. Expect to see these drives in stores in January.
