Neowin claims to know the MSRP of Radeon RX 6600 XT and RX 6600 graphics cards while citing their own resources.
The report states that RX 6600 XT will cost 349 USD while RX 6600 will be 50 USD cheaper. Reportedly, the information is a month old, and the prices might have already changed. Do note that both AMD and NVIDIA have repeatedly changed MSRPs prior to the product’s launch.
Neowin claims that improved performance over NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 justifies the price for RX 6600 XT. However, the 6600 XT can not match the USD 399 RTX 3060’s ray-tracing capabilities. AMD had plans to price their RX 6600 XT at 369 USD, but the company did not want customers to be attracted towards RTX 3060 with 1.5x RAM.
The MSRP can vary upon launch, but in reality, it will be higher unless one purchases the card through AMD or launch-participating partners. Two days ago, Cowcotland’s resources shared that the retail price of RX 6600 XT is not expected to be lower than 499 EUR (588 USD) in Europe.
Moreover, the website has confirmed the most important specifications of both the models. The RX 6600 XT will have a full Navi 23 GPU with 32 CUs (2048 Stream Processors). The GPU will be paired with GDDR6 RAM with a 128-bit bus. The 6600, on the other hand, will reportedly have 1792 Stream Processors and will share the same RAM configuration as the XT variant.
The rumor is that AMD will announce the Radeon RX 6600 series on July 30th, and the release is expected on August 11th.
