Razer Unveils Razer Blade 14 With An AMD Ryzen Processor

During E3, Razer has announced the return of its Razer Blade 14 after three years but with a twist. For the first time, a Blade laptop will house an AMD processor.

As for the AMD processor, Razer has chosen the greatest and the latest Ryzen 9 5900HX for Blade 14. This processor is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU. As for memory and storage, Razer offers 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM and a 1TB PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD. All the latest features like resizable BAR are also present.

Even with this powerful hardware, the Razer Blade 14 will stay cool. There is a vacuum-sealed vapor chamber for the heat to escape. The chamber works in collaboration with low-profile fans. The fans use 88 fan blades with a 0.1 mm thickness to replace the hot air. Thanks to this advanced cooling design, the Blade 14 is ultra-thin at 0.66”.

To showcase the hardware potential, the Blade 14 comes with two display options. The first one is a Quad HD IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. The second one is a Full HD IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 100% SRGB color coverage. Both the panels are AMD FreeSync Premium compatible. Besides that, the keyboard has er-key lighting which can be controlled through Razer Synapse software. The Razer Blade 14 is also equipped with 7.1 surround sound speakers tuned using THX Spatial Audio technology.

The AMD-based Blade 14 has a starting price of $1,799.99.
