Scythe Fuma 2 Rev. B CPU Cooler Review

Scythe Fuma 2 Rev. B Overview

Taking a first look at the Fuma 2 Rev. B we can see that it has the typical air cooler “box shape”. For those wondering about the size of the cooler the official dimensions are 137mm x 129mm x 154.4mm (WxDxH) and it weighs in at 1000g.

On the front of the cooler we have the smaller of the two Kaze Flex II 120mm fans. This PWM fan is only 15mm thick and will spin up to 1500 RPM with a max airflow of 39.44 CFM and max noise level of 23.80 dBA.

Looking at the cooler from the side we can see that it is indeed a dual-tower, dual-fan cooler. The second fan is in the center of the cooler and is thicker at 26mm. This fan also spins up to 1500 RPM with a max airflow of 67.62 CFM and max noise level of 28.60 dBA. Both fans are attached to the cooler using fan clips and the have anti-vibration rubber on the corners.

Taking a closer look at the heatsink itself we have 46 fins that make up the heatsink. These fins are spaced-out enough for air to properly flow through the heatsink. The second (back) heatsink tower has the bottom cut out so you don’t run into any issues with I/O covers or VRM cooling around your CPU socket.

Looking at the top of the cooler we can see the top fins of the heatsink are painted black and have the Scythe logo on them.

Coming out of the base of the cooler there are six nickel-plated copper heatpipes that are 6mm thick. These heatpipes have an asymmetrical design allowing for the heatsink stacks to sit back away from your memory slots.

Looking at the base of the cooler it is pretty clean, although there are some machining marks visible.
