Scythe Fuma 2 Rev. B CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

I am a huge fan of Scythe, but I feel like they fly under the radar sometimes. Maybe because their coolers aren’t loaded with RGB or are super flashy. What they lack in style they definitely make up for in performance, quality, and price. Let’s talk about performance first. This cooler sat basically in the middle of our test results, which is very good considering the size of the cooler. It was beaten by much large dual-tower, dual-fan coolers that cover your memory. That is pretty impressive and like I’ve said before what is the point of having RGB memory if it is going to be covered by your CPU cooler. With the Fuma 2 Rev. B you won’t have that problem.

Scythe is always very thoughtful and precise with their cooler designs. With the Fuma 2 Rev. B we have an asymmetrical design and thinner front fan we have maximum space for our memory slots. Also the cut-out in the back heatsink tower makes it so your rear I/O cover or heatsinks around your CPU socket won’t get in the way of the cooler. Scythe’s Hyper Precision Mounting System IV (H.P.M.S. IV) makes installation of the cooler extremely easy, our installation took all of 5 minutes. What is great about the installation of this cooler is that you don’t need to remove the fans to get the cooler installed. This cooler could easily be installed inside of your case without having to remove your motherboard.

When it comes to price Scythe always comes out on top. The Fuma 2 Rev. B is currently selling for $65.99 at our favorite online retailer, which is $20-$30 less than some of the other coolers in our test group. If you aren’t interested in RGB this is definitely going to be the cooler to get in 2022. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Scythe Fuma 2 Rev. B a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award.
