SilverStone LS04 Light Strips Review

SilverStone LS04 Overview

At their most basic, the SilverStone LS04 light strips are each 450mm long with a total of 40 addressable RGB LEDs per strip. We could almost stop there, but we wouldn’t be giving these strips enough credit for how nice they are. While we are used to seeing mostly flat light strips, the LS04 strips are more of a rectangular shape, as they offer dual-sided lighting. What that means is one of the flat surfaces of the strip glows, as well as one of the side surfaces, offering multiple mounting options to ensure that light is getting exactly where you want it. This really helps with strip installation, as you aren’t necessarily forced to twist and bend the strips to get their light pattern just right. However, if you do need to bend or twist these strips, that is no problem, as their rubber body is quite flexible and pliable.

Each strip offers 40 2020-sized addressable RGB LEDs, which are diffused quite nicely by the semi-transparent rubber on two sides of the strips. With this number of LEDs per strip, the transition of lighting patterns is much smoother than you will find on strips with fewer LEDs per inch.

The ends of the LS04 strips are configured with a 3-pin configuration for +5V, Digital Signal, and Ground. This is a pretty common configuration, but it is always advised to confirm compatibility with your motherboard or lighting controller before connecting these strips.
