SilverStone SETA Q1 Case Review

SilverStone SETA Q1 Overview

Taking a first look at the SETA Q1 it is a pretty “normal” looking case that doesn’t really stand out with its all-black design. It honestly has an old school case look, which many people will appreciate.

Starting at the front of the case we have a solid front panel, it is quite thick as it has soundproofing elements inside. The front panel actually looks like a door, but it is not. Towards the bottom you will find a SilverStone logo.

You can easily remove the front panel of the case by pulling on it from the bottom. The first thing we notice are the two fans, these are 140 mm fans. It is worth noting that these fans are RPM fans, not PWM fans. The front part of the case does support up to three 120/140 mm fans and radiators up to 360mm. The front panel has a central smaller dust filter, this is because SilverStone has built a sort of sound maze into the front panel.

Moving up to the top of the case you’ll find your connections and buttons. You have a large power button, smaller reset button, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB-C port, combination audio jack, and a hard drive indication LED.

The rest of the top of the case is sealed off by a removable panel that does have sound dampening material installed on it. You will notice this panel does have ventilation on it, this is because you can actually remove the sound dampening material if you plan to install cooling. The top part of the case will support three 120/140 mm fans or radiators up to 360 mm.

The side panels on this case are just your normal steel panels. Looking at the case from the side we can see the ventilation on the sides of the case for the intake fans.

Moving around to the back of the case we have a pretty standard layout with a fan mount, motherboard mount, two vertical expansion slots, and your power supply mount at the bottom of the case. There is a removable filter for your power supply that pulls out from the bottom of the case. There is a 140 mm fan installed on the back of the case, so in total you have three 140 mm fans included with this case. The fan mount supports either a 120 or 140 mm fan. We can also see that the two side panels are held into place with captive thumbscrews.
