As we draw closer and closer to Holidays 2020, we’re getting more and more details about the upcoming next-gen consoles. New details about the wireless capabilities of the Sony PlayStation 5.
The details were uncovered by Brazillian tech site, Technoblog. The post includes a screenshot of the wireless specification whitepaper from Sony itself, which shows that the console will support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Take a look:
WiFI 6, also known as 802.11aX goes up to a maximum of 9.6gbps and is a big step up from the 3.5gbps that the PS4 Pro. On the other hand, Bluetooth 5.1 is one generation behind the latest, 5.2. However, it should suffice, being a huge jump from the previous standards used in the PS4.
